Miami-Dade County Public libraries are a great place to celebrate Black History Month where at various locations, they’ll be hosting festivities honoring the achievements of African-Americans.

Storytime and Craft with Black History-themed stories and special crafts for all ages.
When: Saturdays at 3 p.m. (Feb. 16 hasta 23. )

Make your own Cowrie Shell and Bead necklace an Afrocentric necklace created with materials that are provided.

Traditional Quilting Workshop create a miniature quilt using the South African traditional style.
When:Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m.,
Where: Library, 2930 Aventura Blvd., Aventura
Gospel Music Concert featuring The Miami Oratorio Society performing the music that began in the 17th century with simple melodies of African slaves, uttered in unison. The concert will be directed by Andrew Anderson and feature Gospel soloist Tiffany Hall and the Tim Watson Jazz Band.
